Generis is a pharmaceutical company founded in Portugal in 2002. It specialises in the development, manufacture and commercialisation of generic medicines. Today, Generis is part of the Aurobindo group and operates in both the Portuguese market and international markets.
The acquisition of its first manufacturing facility in 2006 was an important stage in its development. Production at Venda Nova complements the company’s research and commercial activities and gives manufacturing a central role in its business.

Generis supplies a medicine portfolio for outpatient and hospital care. Its principal focus is generic medicines, while its industrial capabilities include tablets, capsules and sachets. These activities connect pharmaceutical production with the needs of different healthcare settings.
