ON MAY 13, 2022, THE CONFERENCE OF THE STUDENT SCIENTIFIC SOCIETY WAS HELD.

The traditional conferences of the Student Scientific Societies of the Faculty of Pharmacy were held this year as every year. On 13.05.2022, the conference of the Student Scientific Society of the Faculty of Pharmacy was held at the Teaching Surgery Clinic of AMU.

The organizer of this year's conference was Zeytun Pharmaceuticals LLC.

The conference began with a minute of silence in memory of the martyrs of the Great Patriotic War and doctors who lost their lives during the pandemic. After that, the conference began with the national anthem.

"We choose the winner of the winners!" Opening the conference, Nargiz Mammadova, head of the Student Scientific Society of the Faculty of Pharmacy, said that after the long pandemic, live meetings created a feeling of satisfaction for everyone. He recalled that good things had happened during the pandemic, that we were happy to win and that we had been reunited with Karabakh, which we had longed for for years. Therefore, he thanked the university administration and the Zeytun group of companies for their support in organizing the conference.

Talking about the challenges facing future pharmacists to raise the level of pharmacy, Mammadova wished success to young researchers who spoke at the conference.

Chairman of the Student Scientific Society of AMU, Doctor of Medical Sciences Mushfig Hasanov spoke about the role of higher education institutions in the training of talented and specialized personnel. He stressed that special attention is paid to this issue at our university, and in this regard, the faculty has important responsibilities for student scientific societies. Proposing to award both the winning students and the winning supervisors with academic scholarships, Hasanov said it would also serve as a campaign for other students.

Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Associate Professor Farah Madatli said that the students involved and interested in the activities of TEC later achieved great success and were always distinguished by their activity in society. Stating that it is a great happiness to live in a stable, developing country, the dean stressed that Azerbaijani youth are very lucky in this regard. He noted that a country that wins on the military front must also win on the scientific front. He said he believed that the students who visited the ocean of science today would represent our people with dignity in the country and in the international arena.

After that, the research works prepared by the 2nd-4th year students of the Faculty of Pharmacy participating in the conference were demonstrated. Each student spoke for five minutes about their work. The students made interesting speeches on various topics, and after the speeches were awarded with various nominations.

Scientific and technical progress, production and application of new drugs and medical supplies in the field of biology and pharmacy require graduates with in-depth knowledge, and the involvement of students in research is a factor for the impetus of medicine in our country.

Today, one of the main educational institutions in our country for the training of specialists in this area is the Azerbaijan State Medical University.
