On October 7, 2025, the 1st International Congress of the
Azerbaijani Society of Pediatric Endocrinology was held at Badamdar Hotel &
Residences in Baku, organized with the support of the Ministry of Health, Administration
of the Regional Medical Divisions (TABIB), and the State Agency on Mandatory
Health Insurance.
The prestigious event was held with the participation of
the International Diabetes Federation and the International Society for
Pediatric and Adolescent Diabetes and was accredited with 9 Continuing Medical
Education (CME) credits by the Scientific Medical Council of the Ministry of
Health.
The congress featured six panel discussions covering
topics such as diabetes, growth disorders, thyroid diseases, sexual development
issues, and the psychological aspects of endocrine disorders. Renowned local
and international experts — including Prof. Dr. Alicia Jenkins, Prof. Dr. Kim
Donaghue, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Gündüz Ahmadov, and Prof. Dr. Naile Sultanova —
shared the latest scientific updates and treatment approaches in pediatric
endocrinology.
The event served as a valuable platform for knowledge
exchange and contributed significantly to strengthening international
collaboration in the field of pediatric endocrinology.
